Yankauer Suction Set

A Yankauer suction set is a medical device used for suctioning fluids, secretions, and debris from a patient’s airway during surgical procedures or in medical settings requiring suctioning. It consists of a rigid plastic suction tip, flexible suction tubing, and a connection to a suction source.

Main Components and Features:

Suction Tip: Made of rigid plastic, the suction tip has a large open end with multiple side holes, designed to effectively suction fluids and debris from the patient’s airway.

Suction Tubing: The suction tip connects to flexible suction tubing, allowing for easy maneuverability and connection to the suction source. The tubing is typically transparent for visual inspection and monitoring of the suctioned material.

Usage:

• Suitable for pre-operative removal of secretions and body fluids.
• Cut-to-fit funnel connector at the proximal end to suit different suction pump lines.
• Standard funnel connector at the distal end of the tubing to connect the Yankauer handle.
• The Yankauer handle features an open end with four lateral eyes to withstand negative pressure, ensuring continuous and easy fluid suction.
• Available in standard or crown tip, with or without vacuum thumb control.
